Mr Netto's last day in school! =( He'd be missed. He's one teacher who never failed to make the lessons interesting(no matter how boring some of the topics were), and he was open to ideas & such. Above's a pic of KL & him =)

It's also Colin's birthday!! I met the guy at around 6.30pm & we made our way to Holland V! It was raining, of all things. We made our way to Bistro Petit Salut & the friendly staff collected our soaking umbrellas while we went inside. Here's a menu of the available executive set dinner!

I had no idea that the entire place was awashed in the soft glow of candle flame, making the setting look romantic. Seriously, GG!! I think that I gave my friend the wrong impression =S
We placed our orders( C had beef, I had Mixed Seafood Risotto with prawn, scallop & squid with light cream emulsion)which had to wait for about 20 minutes(we were warned beforehand but I was cool with it)
Here's bread & butter!
And here's the requested ice water, which was replaced when the glass container was about 1/3 full.
It's relatively empty, since I suppose that the main group of people who dined here are busy working adults!
This is complimentary, since we had to wait for the mains. Half a prawn topped with caviar(from trout?)while sauteed veggies were at the base & drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. Yummeh! XD
Here's C & his dinner
A closer look at the beef(looks a little like a filet mignon...erm, then again, I think it is, judging by the price!)
Here's my risotto($28,I think)!
No offense, but I was quite insulted when he gave an unconstructive comment on my risotto. Since when do people step into restaurants & say such things?! The comment was fairly loud also. Gawddddd. There's only so much presenting that one can do for a risotto, but I can assure everyone that it's a well made risotto which made even the last bite lovely!! Succulent prawns! Scallops too! The sauce is fantastic! That's cheese on top of the risotto mound. The rice is al dente & delightfully chewy! I'd have enjoyed my risotto a lot more, were it not for the rude comment. =(
Best of all, he took a few bites of beef then requested for chili sauce("That's because the bloody taste makes me want to puke!"). Why on earth did he want to order medium rare is a mystery to me. He didn't finish the beef(about 75% eaten) & I felt kinda bad when the waitress asked him if there was anything wrong with it as she cleared our plates.
For dessert, I tried the creme brulee($10)! He only took 1 spoonful(more weird comments which I refuse to write here). Crunchy scorched sugar with satiny smooth vanilla custard made with REAL vanilla beans! Quite a lovely treat.
I definitely enjoyed the excellent service & food at this place, that's for sure! I'll go grab a person with more discerning tastebuds(or at least polite ones with a little more knowledge on etiquette) to eat here again! Pardon me if I sound disgruntled by the human company, because that is also important in making food taste better. (I once thought that this correlation between company & food tasting in manga was ridiculous, but I now know that it's true!) On the bright side, I got to know a bit more of my friend's life & such. I think, by now, everyone knows that he wants to join NJD!!!
Reached home at a relatively early time of 9pm! All in good time for me to study some histology.
Here's me for the day, smiley with braces. Don't like the new lip balm which makes me look kind of pale though.

Aww you're so cute!!

Each morning I awake,
my best friend beside me,
his eyes are wide with love,
and my heart soars again.

As I go through my day,
expectations on me,
my friend is always near,
to soothe my troubled mind.

When nighttime descends on us,
and the world is through with me,
at last I can meditate,
and give loving thanks for him.

My friend is very special,
a truly amazing soul,
he's very soft and gentle,
for he's my cat, after all!
