So I tried making profiteroles today! Mom helped me to buy white choc & whipping cream for the filling. Everything was going pretty smoothly..!

A mixture of butter & water was set to boil over a waterbath! Flour was added when the mixture bubbled. The whole lot was mixed, and then returned to the heat! The dough above's pretty small actually.
Unexpectedly, it became disastrous when the eggs were added! Horror of horrors! I'm guessing that I added them too quickly as the final result became too liquidy to keep its shape! Above is the sorry looking 1st batch mess! The lot of them stuck to the baking tray even though I used quite a bit of butter. Darn...
2nd batch! Lined with baking paper. The little fellas rose like pillows, and only a small area was in contact with the paper?!

Yup, they do look kinda...undercooked for some reason =S Gotta poke holes in them to release the steam
3rd batch,I believe?
I tried to salvage the watery dough by adding more plain flour. They look slightly better now!
Fed up that they couldn't keep their shape, so more flour was added. The last batch below had the most flour! They're pretty tasteless dough on their own though, cos there's no sugar added.
What luck! I'll do better next time, that's for sure.
Since the amount yielded a pretty small no. of choux buns, I managed to eat half of them along the way =D Some reminded me of the breadou series from Action City =X
Ate a quick dinner, then went off for njd! My 1st lesson in 2011!! XD So glad to be back.
I guessed that a few were surprised to see me, haha! Don't remember exactly why, but GM gave me a scare by mentioning about being an IC at the doorway, and I misheard that I had to lead the class for the day. Feels strange to be in a class with more black gi people!
I was the only girl for the colour belt class(more specifically my own belt colour) T_T but whatever. Somehow that fact doesn't seem to bother me these days, so I'm guessing that I'm getting over it! Enjoyed the 60 squats, since it's been a looooong time I did that. End 2010 & starting of 2011 weren't too fantastic for me.
Muscle memory wasn't so great, kept kicking wrongly for most of the kicks, argh. Was somewhat annoyed with a derogatory remark, since I thought it was unnecessary to add pressure when I just returned & hadn't been exercising for about the past 2 months or so? I'm friggin unfit, and that's what I know. No fun being unfit anyway.
Cheered up a little when I got to digress about the pesky choux dough to some friends after class! Only got to drink during supper since I wasn't so keen on eating. Sir made most of the group disgusted by going in depth on "How to save toilet paper" during defecation. Won't be writing the sordid details here! Hahaha! =S

Aww you're so cute!!

Each morning I awake,
my best friend beside me,
his eyes are wide with love,
and my heart soars again.

As I go through my day,
expectations on me,
my friend is always near,
to soothe my troubled mind.

When nighttime descends on us,
and the world is through with me,
at last I can meditate,
and give loving thanks for him.

My friend is very special,
a truly amazing soul,
he's very soft and gentle,
for he's my cat, after all!
