Lunched with P on Friday! We wanted to try out Daikokuya, but it was packed! We settled for Aerin's, and tried some of their specialities! The little advertisement's offer above sounds delish, no? =D By looking at the prices on the menu, it wasn't surprising that both of us were possibly the youngest patrons of that restaurant =S But hey, it's good to try out the food at a different place every now and then! Variety is good! XD

P ate chicken w/some sauce...which I kinda liked! XD The polenta square was a little strange cos its texture reminded me of kueh =S It was mildly bland I suppose.

My prawn risotto! Hahaha! The prawns were succulent, which is a good thing! There were many cut spears of asparagus which were hidden throughout the rice...and oh, did I mention that mine's parmesan cheese based?? Every mouthful was easy to eat! It was never cloying no matter how many spoonfuls I ate, and the rice was still chewy & slightly al dente, and that's how a good risotto should be(I've read before on the qualities of a good risotto, of cos)! Many blur people think that risotto is some kinda mushy porridge, when in fact it is not! It's a rice based dish slowly cooked by absorption, and the soup base is ladled in 1 scoop at a time until all the moisture has been absorbed!

Off to Fruits Paradise cafe! The service was somewhat poor(well, I suppose that I should forgive the waiter since it was on Christmas Eve afterall!)and it was such a pity that the tarts we wanted to try were not yet available. Above is a Mango tart(I've forgotten the full name)

Here's a banana caramel custard pie! The odd part about this pie was that the caramel is supposed to be bitter, as stated on the menu! It did not go well with the tart at all, and was downright weird! Salty caramel would have made a better choice, if they wanted to be different =S
Shopped a little more for prezzies for family(I had a good time sampling my way around on the basement level of Taka! =D) I got home pretty late, like about 8.30pm?! Didn't have time to take a short nap, oh well. Here's me in my outfit for midnight mass! XD

It was kinda crowded when we got to the church! Fortunately, my relatives were there early, so my family took turns sitting with them, haha. My throat was getting sore at this point, ugh. Kinda miss San Francisco's midnight mass for its otherworldly charm & ethereal music.

A quick snap of my church!

I was literally in the shadows with my all black outfit, so I managed to get a few shots of the decorations before heading towards my dad's car.

Pity that I didn't do much for Christmas this year, such as baking =( hope that I'll have time for that next year!

Woke up feverish on Christmas morning, but had to drag my sorry self to Raf's house for lunch! The spread's above =) My mom cooked prawns. Most of the dishes had chili, but I ate them anyway! Didn't have much of an appetite so I ate less, and then went back home to rest!

Lovely flooded drain after a heavy downpour on Christmas evening at 7pm, I think?

I returned for dinner! Sat next to Je, and thankfully he did not ask me about the guitar, after seeing me in my sickly state. Fever is horrible! I was shivering the whole day. Let's hope that the next Christmas would be a better one! Last but not least, my mom made this Christmas tree agar =) Enjoyed my prezzies too, thanks! =)
