Been awhile since I've last posted, so here's one! A picture of a banana cake(baked on 19 April 2010 by my mom) for the reader:

Work recently ended for me as I tried some temporary jobs for the past few days...my 1st job was working for a jap company(Food and Hotel Asia 2010) as a flyer distributor and compilling various flyers and name cards together! I admit that I was a nervous wreck the night before and thus had little sleep! I was supposed to work for 4 hours, but it stretched to 8, hence I received 8 hours' pay as a result ^^!

Looking back, if I have to do the same job at the exhibition again, I would! I had the opportunity to see every store situated in the halls 2 to 6! I had a pretty good time smsing some people on this day too, so I wasn't so lonely after I was done distributing the flyers and had to go back to the store to get more! Some people mistook me for a Japanese too when I walked about to give the flyers...and some asked what my nationality was! Pity I didn't bring my camera that day, since there were lotsa appetising desserts( gelato, cakes, crepes etc), meats and such on display...what a dream! Below is the outfit I pulled together from my cupboard(for FHA 2010)...ignore the funny white patches on the black skirt, it's the mirror's fault(and if u zoom in, the pic's actually blurred and the light+ shadow made me look tanned =X)!

My next job was to distribute flyers for an advertising company...the days felt long since I've always gone home after a morning shift and slept etc during the 6 hours or less in between shifts! I managed to take some pics ^^ Read this entry on!
Got my birthday prezzie from MN on Sat( 01/05/10)! Been a looong time since I last saw her in March. Haven't seen many people in a long time either, so maybe 1 day I should organise a gathering! Did some shopping and bought kuroshitsuji stuff on the same day! Pics of my purchases coming up in next post!

I've been chibi-ised! Cute! ^^
Above's a bangle bought by her mom!
I was plenty surprised to see the neoprints(taken in sec 3 or so after watching X-men movie in theater, I think, at Causeway Pt!) Gosh, I remembered how I asked this Debs back then to cut out and give me some of mine but she never did in the end -_-" and she kept forgetting to bring it from her home...don't know who I asked but I think somebody told me it's prolly collecting dust on her table =X Seriously, I have no idea what really happened...
My box for the 2nd temporary job! There are some pics of me in the labcoat and glasses+box but I don't think I'd be posting them up xD Good thing I brought the camera on Mon, 030510, or there will be no pic like this! Cos this is the last time I saw the box, thanks to my quick distribution of flyers and hence last day of work...
Ramen menu at a Baikohken restaurant in Raffles place location, opened from 11am onwards...went to eat there with the William just to try their food.
Restaurant's front
Shoyu ramen
My shio ramen with corn and butter.
I must admit, the broth was a little plain, but at least the salt did not overpower everything else...the soup was milky, and the layer of oil was thin despite the addition of butter(which is good news to me). The noodles lacked bite(gave me the impression that I was eating soggy and bloated noodles), but at least the meat was soft, fairly flavoursome and the flesh tore apart easily. Price wise...it was a little steep, considering how I managed to finish the noodles in a few spoonfuls.I left the place full( I ate the half size version), so I guess it wasn't too bad.
On to JP! This Ji De Chi shop's in the newer part of JP, where the bigger fairprice resides and there r many smaller shops dotting the area!
Below is my Mango Strawberry Flavour Snowy Ice...my first impression of it was some disappointment at the small size for a dessert that cost me $6...notice that its size is half of what the picture(for display purposes, I know)is? Business, I guess. Anyway it was delicious, but this is something I won't be having so often, maybe only when friends suggest it! The small translucent balls that you see in between the mango cubes and mochi are lychee pearls, which, upon rupture of the lychee membrane(i think?), give way to sweet and gooey lychee syrup! Unfortunately, the strawberry cubes were slightly sour, so I finished that 1st.
The Milk Sesame Flavour Snowy Ice, also $6...the milk flavour was barely there and little black sesame ice was given . I still preferred my MSFSI, which was refreshing!
Bought Kuroshitsuji manga on the same day! However, I doubt that i'd be collecting all the books since I've already read them elsewhere, but it's pretty nice to admire the artwork! Allright, I'd be off now! Cooking or something on the next post! =D
Oh, I forgot to mention ninja-do grading on 18 April 2010! It was pretty scary on that day itself, since it was my 1st grading and I was quite afraid that I might not do the turning kick well! Dad drove me to Ayer Rajah CC and the journey took 10-15 mins or so, quite fast right? I was panicking when my dad was ready to go by 6.30pm since we had to register by 7pm, and it was the 1st time to head for that CC! Dark skies were overhead and it started to drizzle after the bunch of us gathered in a room to do mass warm up and do last minute practice!
When it was my turn to go for grading on the 2nd floor, it was freaky since it was a little hard to hear the commander's commands as yells from the adjacent "room" echoed and caused alittle confusion to me! I did most of my kicks twice to play safe. For kata I noticed at the corner of my eye that I did not do my blocks well!!! ARGHH!!!! Furthermore my stance is total crap. Perhaps I should go ask around on how to stay at the same height for the stance since I feel that I can never get my height right!
Dal is right; the standard is dropping! Great. Gonna get myself a notebook and draw/write all the stuff that i've learnt in class, and who knows at the same time I can practise drawing the black butler's face!

Aww you're so cute!!

Each morning I awake,
my best friend beside me,
his eyes are wide with love,
and my heart soars again.

As I go through my day,
expectations on me,
my friend is always near,
to soothe my troubled mind.

When nighttime descends on us,
and the world is through with me,
at last I can meditate,
and give loving thanks for him.

My friend is very special,
a truly amazing soul,
he's very soft and gentle,
for he's my cat, after all!
