One long overdue post coming right up!

Bought this on 040410! Small celebration with my own family this year cos a relative of mine had to go for surgery =\ But at least the surgery went well for him!

Really grateful for an icecream cake...we bought 1 off the shelf since a) it wasn't a big celebration b) we're not big cake eaters c) icecream is gd! d) i was craving for icecream and had a wild suggestion to just buy a tub of icecream and stick candles to it but somehow it wasn't proper so the idea was scrapped...anyway, I consider myself fortunate!Above is a pic of the cake in the box...I noticed that they've modified the box a lil to hold dry ice!

Unfortunately, there's no celebration with friends this year, mainly cos it's usually my friends/classmates who surprise me with a cake or so, and to begin with I've never really planned for my birthday party before either cos the main celebrations happen with my relatives just about all of my birthdays =X thus I am pretty inexperienced in this area. But sometimes I wonder if people will turn up if I invited them over? I fear that they will be busy as always, or maybe i'm not important enough to them to turn up for =X Let's wait and see how things turn out for next year!

The people who wished me happy birthday for my 20th birthday! Mostly in order actually...and here's the list!

People:
~Zhaorong

And 12 hours ago from 1.33pm(on facebook!)
~Shalihin

~Clement L
~Gene
~Sumit
~Gene's mom
~Sheila
~Sergeant Tank

And more via fb!

And lastly, Marina!

What a list! I was pleasantly surprised, but i'm guessing there's more wishes with thanks to fb! Unfortunately, some ppl had to be reminded, like Je and MN =\ The former was really blur, cos he had asked me this question like a few times and I told him quite recently? Anyway I gave him some ideas on ways to remembering my birthday! It's pretty easy to remember( I hope it is!) which is 7 days a week and 4 seasons!

Aww you're so cute!!

I've been to church for the past few days for Stations of the Cross and Good Friday, and I must admit I kinda miss those times!

I skipped ninja-do on thur to attend the Last Supper mass. For Good Friday, I went for the evening mass which came before the SotC and went to IMM for dinner afterward! Though half of my family went to get some bb plan and meanwhile, the other had dinner, all in all in was a pleasant evening. I got lost for a while in IMM while searching for a bubble tea shop after dinner! My sis and mom caught up with me, which meant that I took a while walking the wrong way =X I had choc oreo and my sis had vanilla milk tea!

Saturday was spent on visiting my uncle in hospital, and lunch with the family at the Central. We tried Ramen Santouka, and here are some pics of them! Below 1st pic is mine, miso soup base ramen set...B3. I ordered the natto cos I wanted to try it =\ There's a thick layer of oil floating in the soup if u look closer. Truth to be told, I didn't like the ramen much...the bamboo shoots used tasted spoilt(sour-ish or so), and I was alarmed that such a ramen joint would serve their customers such poor quality ingredients. I guess the standard isn't consistent? There's mixed reviews from other websites. The meat in the ramen was a little dry. Fortunately, the vegetables served tasted fresh.
This has got to be the best part of the meal...pork cheeks! I'd prolly return to eat this, but it's in limited amounts, so good luck if u've gotten your hands on one.
This gyoza was ok, I suppose?
After lunch, we left the place and my dad went for coffee and the rest of us walked around the mall...then we had some icecream from Azabu Sabo.I tried the strawberry and it was delish! Not too cloying, and some of the sweet taste lingered after each mouthful. Not exactly full bodied, but the strawberry taste was there. I sampled some of the black sesame but it didn't go down too well on my palate so fortunately I didn't buy it. I think we headed back at around 3-4pm? And I really dislike ERPs! Fortunately I don't/can't drive and I'm more of an environment person, so I'll save some $$ on travelling on my own.

Aww you're so cute!!

Hi! It's Good Friday tomorrow! Church for me later in the evening for Holy Thursday at 7.30pm, so got to miss ninja-do for once O.O

The past few days have been nervewracking(from dictionary.ref spelling), from settling uni apps to waking up early from the next door neighbour's renovation work noise!! Haven't gone shopping in a long time for clothes, accessories and food either. I think i'm gonna go write a resume and then seek a job...better to be working than stuck at home, sorta rotting away since there's little to do!

I know that I can use this free time to try out recipes and perhaps do some sewing, but apparently the kitchen windows cannot be opened(from flying dust of next door's renovation)and the sewing machine's not yet repaired =( I've taken to playing the piano when nobody's at home, and I haven't touched Je's guitar since last Friday...perhaps I should soon =)

Maybe I should take a little detour to JE library? Or perhaps I should check out this mph bookstore promo thing...who knows that I may find something that I like? But the bad news is, I hardly read story books these days...mostly magazines. Hmm...maybe I should find some craft book and try out their stuff. Haiz. Life is irritating. There's only so much one can do on the com, and i'd prefer socialising with people instead!

Aww you're so cute!!

Each morning I awake,
my best friend beside me,
his eyes are wide with love,
and my heart soars again.

As I go through my day,
expectations on me,
my friend is always near,
to soothe my troubled mind.

When nighttime descends on us,
and the world is through with me,
at last I can meditate,
and give loving thanks for him.

My friend is very special,
a truly amazing soul,
he's very soft and gentle,
for he's my cat, after all!
