Hi!

Last Sat's picnic was a really windy event!

I ran to JP's NTUC fairprice supermarket to find thousand island sauce and cherry tomatoes! Who would have know that my friends changed the time to 5.30pm instead of 4.30pm...and to think that I rushed. Next time, in the future, I will remember to check all smses before leaving any shopping mall! Rawr! If not I could have gone on and grabbed some icecream with MN since she was at JP too!!!

Anyway I spent some of my waiting time by smsing Raheel and Chris! Pretty interesting, I admit, but just wish that the latter replies more!

The whole bunch of 5 arrived at, duh, 5.30pm! We waited for the bus and got a ride from 400 or so since the shuttle bus came at 6.15pm! Two stops at most, I think? I was surprised to see a portable icecream stand opened on marina barrage, with a crowd surrounding it! Great, I was craving for ice cream but daren't buy since we brought a lot of food, and who knows that people may be insulted if I refused their food from being full...! It was a surreal sight to see many kites dotting the skies!

At the highest point of the platform, many things flew by...even I felt myself swaying as I walked in the strong breeze! I guess that's why many people chose to tie their hair up...those w/o tied hair in the group, and that included me, left with windblown hair.

The cover of our container filled with bee hoon flew away with the wind, but I think it landed on the 1st floor cos my frens managed to retrieve it later! We had a hard time flying kite since many kite strings were in the way, and the wind blew in several directions. Thankfully, the cherry tomatoes were delish! They were perfectly sweet on their own, so the thousand island sauce wasn't needed...but we used some of it anyway. I noticed a giant black octopus kite, prolly more than 2metres in length, on the verge of taking flight, but I guess that its shape did not allow much ascension into the air, and the owner gave up! For us, the two kite strings broke at some point of the flying, but fortunately that happened only when it became dark!

I left for yio chu kang mrt to my cousin's hse! Dinner was delish, and I had some doughnut for dessert. The life of the party cousin wasn't there so the house was sort of quiet! In a way it was good that I turned up late at the party late or I'd bore myself to tears watching tv...since that was what about majority of my relatives were doing T.T

Truth to be told, I don't know whether to be relieved or disappointed about my cousin's small birthday celebration since Je wasn't around to ask me to demo what I've learnt on the guitar! And the only time I touched and played on his guitar was on Friday...and at that time I discovered that he ate Shoyuemi's "crispy and crunchy" japanese noodle snack, spicy flavour from my discovery made at the side pocket of the guitar bag! Bleh. XD I had an entertaining smsing with him about that!

Aww you're so cute!!

Been having terrible sleep lately, no thanks to noisy renovation coming from my new next door neighbour!

I woke up on Sunday with about 5 hours' worth of sleep for church! Then my family excluding my sister went to Raffles City for this new uni talk...who'd have known that it targeted NS guys for the 1st batch in 2012 =.=" Meanwhile, my cousin Je smsed me that he'd be lending me an acoustic guitar so that I could learn the basics...what a kind fella! Anyway, we left the talk in the midst of the Q &A session, and was surprised to see that there were refreshments, so we had some before leaving the place. I tried most of the desserts and some canapes(i think) such as goose liver on smallish circle bread topped with a blueberry, strong tasting cheese with walnut atop focaccia bread. I took several pics but unfortunately the hp indexing problem has yet to be solved, and so they will be delayed ='(.

I went on to kino alone in ngee ann city so that I could buy my magazines since they kept a huge stock there! Fortunately I found them as 1 was an issue from march. I didn't spend much time there as I hurried to choa chu kang so that my parents could fetch my to my cousin's hse which was nearby. I was so eager to read my mags that I failed to notice that I boarded the wrong train...! Ended up in Newton and had to change train so that I could go to Raffles plc int.

We had a minor misunderstanding and I ended up having to head back to jurong so that my parents could drive me to CCK! Gd thing Je was there so that he could teach me how to play! Dinner was pretty ok, but I prefer the company more compared to Sat's at my clsmt's hse. A bunch of my lil cousins went nuts over an ice cream stacking app for iphone, and they kept whining to the owner of the iphone, my eldest cousin Cam, to let them use it!

Later on, I had my 1st impromptu guitar lesson as conducted by Je, G and ...Dan?!?! They cheekily asked me to pay each of them $10! Since Je stretched out his palm, I gave him a 5 since I valued it at $10 ^.^.Taking the guitar out of its ibanez case was a rather awkward experience for me! The guitar was so huge and the space there was so small that I accidentally knocked it twice, one at the head and the other on the body! Then Je noticed my already short fingernails and asked me to trim more! I was skeptical since Je was looking at the whites, and he promptly showed me his. Thus, I had to ask the domestic helper to locate me a nail clipper to shorten my fingernails more.

The 1st time I touched the guitar's steel strings, my cousins wondered why I was using so much pressure. I guess they forgot how soft their own fingertips used to be before they took up that music instrument! I learnt how to play A, D and G, but I kinda forgot G now since I was pretty tired at the time of practice =X

Then...after a few minutes we went to cut cake! Took some pics, ate cake (duh) then a bunch of us spotted Gab playing this somewhat gory game on y8 called darkcut! It involved hammering this cut arrow into the character's leg and when he did, blood splattered. But before Gab(10 yr old kid) could accomplish all that, Je helped him to close the webpage 5 times or so("It's too violent for a kid like u!"), which caused Gab to be agitated! When Gab eventually got to the blood splattering scene, the monitor froze and Dan's mom came by and scolded him! His mother came along too and asked him to explain himself for playing a bloody game. At this time I remember I was talking to Au about the use of internet. Gone are the days of dial up, huge box monitors, phones with cords and more!

I got an ang pow on behalf of my sister who was not present at the party, and Raf tried to wrestle with me for it( for fun)! Obviously I lost, since he's an NS guy in his prime, and super tall at 6 feet! I tried to pull some ninja-do moves for fun but couldn't get past part 1, and my wrist was seriously red afterward.

I brought my cousin's guitar home! It took up a seat in my dad's car! Gosh. I must play it soon!

Aww you're so cute!!

Oh man...I just remembered that J, I and LY went to watch this movie on thurs in the morning and didn't invite me! =C Not like i was working either...haiz. I guess by now I'm wrong about thinking we're all friends...I'm starting to wonder if anybody is just pretending??? If it were in the evening i'd understand better. All the more reason to MIA for this coming Fri's results. I shall not be answering anybody's smses, since everyone is so freaking kaypoh but do not care how I feel! GRRRRRR

Aww you're so cute!!

Hi all!

Last Fri I met up with some classmates from 2009! I thought I was the latest since I took a fairly long nap(actually 1hr) and didn't set the alarm...anyway I rushed with my shower and used some makeup and apologized to the organiser of the gathering for being late =X

However, to my surprise, only 3 ppl were there! Our teacher,Mr Koh, John and Ibrahim were sitting at the end of a ten seater, chatting away! I was told that only 3 more will arrive later...pity that some were working on that day and could not make it! Fortunately, John had booked the table in advance since it was rather unexpected that the restaurant was packed. Hmm perhaps not too unexpected...friday evening is the start of weekends, and people use it for catching up with friends or for dates!

Looking through the dessert section of the menu was the 1st thing I did when I picked it up! I remembered eating an earthquake with my cousins about a decade and more ago! Furthermore, when 1 of us overturned the dry ice mixture by mistake, I thought that doing so rendered the icecream inedible =X since I didn't know what dry ice was made of back then!

Shaza was running late, much later than Liying who arrived about 5 mins after I did! I ordered clam chowder in sourdough, Liying had mushroom soup in sourdough, the guys ordered the main courses and some calamari rings! The waitress who served us informed us that there was a promotion for all drinks to be at $3 with main courses ordered, so everyone at the table at present got something! Mine was "super fudge choc malt shake" I think, and it came in a huge metal beaker! I managed to get 2 glassfuls and a lil bit more out of it. Nevertheless I was quite satisfied with my drink. I won't say the same for Ibra who got the soursop and pronounced it to be too sour. The rest of us tried it, but apparently those who were not used to its taste thought it was too sour. I, on the other hand, thought it was a little bit sweet, but still delish! I tried some of John's passionfruit ice blended and tasted syrup =.=" By the time everyone finished, we had no more room for dessert! Oh well. Some pics were taken, and r up on fb now(but not taken by me)!

Honestly I was slightly disappointed that we went our ways pretty early, since I probably spent about 2-3 hours out(including the travelling time!) But at least I had some fun! Bad news : I was told that results were out on next friday(meaning in 2 days' time!)! The horror! I will never live thru it =C

Aww you're so cute!!

Each morning I awake,
my best friend beside me,
his eyes are wide with love,
and my heart soars again.

As I go through my day,
expectations on me,
my friend is always near,
to soothe my troubled mind.

When nighttime descends on us,
and the world is through with me,
at last I can meditate,
and give loving thanks for him.

My friend is very special,
a truly amazing soul,
he's very soft and gentle,
for he's my cat, after all!
